What do you get when you put a hot-headed revolutionary and a socially conscious pacifist together? The result?Yours truly,followed by 8 strong willed individuals, currently being prepped to rule the world. Born in my parents Bronx bedroom, 28 years ago, I was influenced early by the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SWT), the strength of Malcolm X, movements from West Africa and the language of the Muslim: Arabic. I was spouting “Bilalian,” “Off The Pigs” and lines from ROOTS by the time I moved upstate to the suburban neighborhood, the prep school and Jack and Jill. A Bachelor’s in Communications, Master’s in International Journalism and Public Affairs, a position on the editorial staff at the U.S. Department of Health, and clips in YM, ESSENCE, Tokion, and Islamic Horizons magazines eventually followed. Today as a freelance writer, editor, photographer, publicist, international health advocate, multi-media organizer, anti-war protestor, writing workshop developer, HIV/AIDS youth educator, dancer, innovator, shoe hog, interior decorating fanatic and talker, my approach has changed but my message is pretty much the same.
